Many device and software companies are now licensing SymbolStix as the default symbol set in their products. These products are sold globally and require additional international support. When visiting www.symbolstix.com one now has the option of selecting these additional languages for browsing the site. New subscribers also have the opportunity to purchase subscriptions in these additional languages and utilize the SymbolStix ONLINE product. This announcement will interest our subscribers utilizing SMART board® or other interactive white boards and projection technology. ULS Adds Transition Band

The brand new Transition Band joins the other four bands, completing the set for comprehensive coverage of grades Kindergarten through Transition. The main goal of the transition curriculum is to create a realistic atmosphere of skill learning that will be needed when exiting the school setting, entering the work setting and living with optimal independence. Intended for students who are beyond the 12th grade year or who have met high school requirements, the Unique Learning System Transition Program offers programming options and materials to support educators who are addressing transition training for older students.

N2Y, Inc. is proud to announce the release of two revolutionary products featuring the SymbolStix symbol library. SymbolStix Online will go live later this fall providing subscribers access to over 12,000 symbols that are used in the News-2-You newspaper and Unique Learning System curriculum. Demand from the subscriber base to have access to these symbols has prompted N2Y inc. to make these available. Access will be provided through an annual subscription. Users then have the ability to search and download the symbols in a format of their choice for use in building materials for their classrooms.

John earned his Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Marquette University (Milwaukee, Wisconsin 1991) and has been involved with the AAC/AT market since 1994. His range of employment history encompasses a strong speech-language pathology clinical experience, a well developed AAC/AT technical skill set as well as business development, manufacturing, publishing, marketing and management. John’s last position was as Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Tobii-ATI and is now the Director of Sales with N2Y, Inc. His industry and business background compliments the NY2 Team and their powerful and innovative products.

New Corporate Facility

With the addition of the Unique Learning System Curriculum product and upcoming launch of the SymbolMate software piece, it didn’t take long for News-2-You® to outgrow its current facility located on Main Street in Huron, Ohio. The ground breaking ceremony for their new 5,600 sq. ft. facility was held on Thursday, October 9, 2008. The new building located at 909 University Drive South in Huron will house their corporate offices as well as their production facility. The new building is being built by Tusing Builders, Ltd. out of Monroeville, Ohio. With a growing staff of 15 onsite and several more who work remotely, the new space will offer lots of possibilities for further expansion.
